In a rural village, elderly Li Xiuqin lives with her granddaughter Zhang Yaoyao and their loyal dog Lai Fu. On the Winter Solstice festival, Li Xiuqin eagerly awaits the return of her son Zhang Fuze and daughter-in-law Lin Mangyu for a family reunion. However, upon their arrival, they announce their plan to take Yaoyao back to the city. Yaoyao refuses and runs out in anger, accidentally getting abducted by human traffickers. Despite Li Xiuqin, Zhang Fuze, and Lin Mangyu's desperate search, they find no trace of her. But clever Lai Fu picks up on clues about Yaoyao's whereabouts and starts leaving hints for the family...
